Solar & Battery Installation

📍Wonthaggi, Bass Coast!

Another Bass Coast home taking a step towards greater energy independence!

This customer already had solar panels installed and decided to take their energy savings further by adding a 25kWh GoodWe battery storage system to their existing solar setup.

By storing excess solar energy generated during the day, the household can make better use of the solar power they already produce, rather than sending as much excess energy back to the grid. The stored energy can then be used in the evenings and during periods when the sun isn't shining, helping reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower electricity bills.

The addition of battery storage also provides greater control over energy usage, allowing the customer to use stored solar energy during peak electricity pricing periods.

As part of the installation, we reconfigured the switchboard to accommodate essential backup loads and installed a grid/backup changeover switch. This allows selected household circuits to receive power from the battery during a grid outage, providing added peace of mind when the power goes down.
